For forty-three and a half years, I was privileged to hold faculty appointments in physical chemistry at Colgate University (26 years) and Connecticut College (17 years) and occasional visiting appointments at other institutions. Since 2001, I have also been affiliated with Aerodyne Research, Inc. in Billerica, Massachusetts.

Throughout my career, I have maintained active, productive, externally-funded laboratory research programs in the colleges and at Aerodyne. I have made a steady practice of taking on undergraduate students (especially including women and minority students) as academic year and summer research colleagues, a total of one hundred twenty-six students to date. Although I have retired from regular classroom teaching, I am continuing my active involvement in chemistry and atmospheric science research and my interest in helping able students pursue science-related careers.
